Plasma-Fibroblast (Soft Surgery)

Plasma-Fibroblast treatment or soft surgery method is a revolutionary method for a perfect facial rejuvenation. It is important to stress that Plasma-Fibroblast is a non-surgical technique where no scalpels or any other surgical instruments are used.

Plasma-Fibroblast treatment is an active answer to patient’s needs for beauty treatments that provides perfect look but is not based on surgical methods and there are no surgical risks involved. As you know, these risks are anaesthesia, stitches, swelling, long downtime, possible complications, bruises etc. It is important to have in mind that surgical methods are far more expensive and complicated, while the end results are comparable with the soft surgery treatment.

What is Plasma-Fibroblast and how does it work?

The Plasma treatment uses the fourth state of matter plasma. Tissues treated “sublimate” and we avoid spreading unwanted heat to the surrounding areas. The principle is to ionize gases in the air to create a small electrical arch, similar to a tiny lightning bolt, with which dermal and epidermal areas, which are affected by aesthetic problems, may be treated without spreading unwanted heat to the surrounding areas.

When the electrical arch plasma touches the skin surface, the heat widens the acne and is subsequently transferred into the epidermis all the way to the papillary layer which contains fibroblast cells. The result isn’t con- traction and tightening of the skin cells. Consequently, the excess skin is reduced and the result is comparable to lift procedures or wrinkle reduction. Most, if not all, methods of skin resurfacing are based on creating a controlled skin damage, which activates its healing and this leads to the skin re-modelling and improvement in various signs of aging.

Even though skin layers get damaged by plasma in a controlled manner (by heating, fragmentation, vaporization – sublimation and coagulation), they do not burn off as they largely do under ablative laser and, importantly, there is no open wound during the healing phase. This is extremely important as this approach reduces the risk of side effects such as scarring, infection, loss of pigmentation etc.

After the treatment small dry spots – scabs form. They need 5-7 days to fall off and during this time the client should keep the skin surface clean (use Octenisept and lukewarm water) and protect it with cream which we will present later.

Plasma-Fibroblast works similarly to an ablative (fractional) laser. On a minute surface of the skin accurately directed energy damages very specific skin cells to encourage regrowth and renewal. This does not only improve the skin tone and texture, but it can also reduce scarring, improve a number of common skin problems and increase skin contour.

Frequenty Asked Questions:

WHAT IS THE PLASMA-FIBROBLAST TREATMENT?

It is a non-invasive/non-surgical procedure with the same or comparable results as traditional surgery. Before the treatment the topical anaesthetic is applied, ensuring a painless procedure. This innovative technique cannot cause the so-called “overlifting”, as it only damages excess/loose skin which returns to its “original state” after the regeneration phase. You need to wait for 8-10 weeks to see the perfect results. The procedure can be carried out only by a certified specialist.

HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE?

First, the topical anaesthetic (cream) is applied, minimizing the risk of pain and numbing the treated area. The anaesthetic takes effect 20 minutes after the application. The procedure itself does not last long, 20-30 minutes depending on the area. The duration of the treatment (with anaesthetic application): 60-90 minutes.

IS ANY SPECIAL PRE-TREATMENT NEEDED?

There is no special pre-treatment needed. It is advisable that you do not apply any cosmetic products on the treated area (especially those containing alcohol). During the consultation you should mention all recent surgical or aesthetic procedures.

IS THE PROCEDURE PAINFUL?

Plasma is a non-invasive procedure with minimal level of pain. It is virtually painless, as the treated area is numbed before the treatment. After the treatment the treated area is red (7-14 days) and some patients may experience some swelling, which may last up to 3-7 days. At the site of each spot a small crust will form. They should not be touched and you should wait for 4-5 days for them to fall off naturally. During the procedure the clients may feel some discomfort, not actual pain, depending on the treated area of the face/body.

IS PLASMA TREATMENT RIGHT FOR ME?

With the help of Plasma instrument it is possible to treat various skin problems (acne), achieve the “lifting effect” of the loose skin or correct or remove scars. If you suffer from any of the above mentioned and do not want to go through a traditional surgical procedure, Plasma-Fibroblast Lifting is right solution for you.

NOTE: Plasma-Fibroblast is suitable for skin types 1-2-3 (Fitzpatrick Chart) and we should avoid the treatment on skin types 4-5-6 to avoud getting any hyperpigmentation, hyporpigmentation (usualy on black skin – type 6) and long term marks. (below picture – Fitzpatrick Skin Chart)

WHICH ARE THE MOST COMMON PROCEDURES?

  • Eyelid lift (upper, lower), facelift, neck lift
  • Resurfacing of wrinkled areas
  • Removal of different kinds of moles (only safe moles)
  • Scar removal
  • Skin tags removal

IS PLASMA-FIBROBLAST TREATMENT SAFE?

The treatment is very safe, as it is a non-surgical procedure. It has a negligible amount of possible side effects and serious complications alike. The procedure is based on the natural stimulation of skin regeneration, so the excesses which may be seen in the world of traditional surgery are not possible. The Plasma treatment takes a very short time, with stress on the aftercare, as, in case the client neglects the instructions for aftercare, the treated area may suffer from: inflammation, hyper-pigmentation, scarring.

PLASMA-FIBROBLAST AFTERCARE

Aftercare is one of the most important parts of the treatment. Each client has to follow the instructions for aftercare closely to achieve the perfect results:

  1. Do not pick carbon crust; it will fall off in a few days
  2. Clean the treated area with Octenisept / Collaidal Silver Water twice a day as a disinfectant for as long as you have the brown scabs.
  3. From day 5-6 (when you have no scabs left) continue applying the aftercare cream (can be brightening creams, brightening serums, moisturising creams) on the treated area and use the sunscreen SPF 50+  when you are exposed to sun to protects the treated area.
  4. Avoid sauna, pools, solariums or any kind of exposure to activities which present risk for infection of the treated area for the first one week.
  5. Make sure to protect the treated area from direct sun until the skin is completely regenerated (2 to 8 weeks).
  6. Do not apply products containing alcohol or other scents.
  7. Do not apply make up for the first one week.
  8. Until the crusts fall off, you may apply colloidal silver to prevent inflammation.
  9. Do not cover with plasters.

MAY I USE MAKE UP AFTER THE PLASMA-FIBROBLAST TREATMENT?

Do not use makeup after the treatment, as it generally is not sterile. First 5–6 days after the treatment, until the crusts fall off, use the antiseptic product and the aftercare cream, applying it softly to the treated area. When the crusts fall off, you may apply some makeup if necessary, as the cream the therapist gives you contains skin powder which covers the crusts and the blush.

ARE THE RESULTS VISIBLE IMMEDIATELY AFTRE THE TREATMENT?

We have to inform the client that the maximum results will be visible after 3 to 4 weeks when the skin enters the third phase of the healing collagen and connective tissue growth. So the end results follow after 10 to 24 weeks after the treatment. To achieve the maximum result, usually two to three more sessions is recommended.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR A PERFECT RESULT?

It depends on the state of the clients’ skin and the desired degree of correction. The client is often satisfied after only one treatment, of course if, e.g. the wrinkles are not very deep, but due to the simplicity of the procedure the clients opt for two or even three treatments to achieve a perfect result. The procedure may be repeated after the skin is fully regenerated, so 8 – 10 weeks after the procedure. Generally two to three sessions are required.

HOW LONG WILL THE EFFECT OF THE PLASMA-FIBROBLAST TREATMENT LAST?

The results of the Plasma treatment are permanent and may be visible for years. But we should acknowledge that the aging process is continuous and thus the skin ages every day after the procedure and this cannot be stopped. The results of this method are permanent, but when we talk about mimic facial lines (worry lines) these may recur quickly because muscles are stronger than the skin and consequently the lines recur. Average results last from 2-3 years.
